Mother's Day Poem
Mother's Song
a Traditional Lullaby Disney
(read by Jennifer Garner)
My heart is like a fountain true
That flows and flows with love to you.
As chirps the lark unto the tree
...So chirps my pretty babe to me.
There's not a rose where'er I seek,
As comely as my baby's cheek.
There's not a comb of honey-bee,
So full of sweets as babe to me.
There's not a star that shines on high,
Is brighter than my baby's eye.
There's not a boat upon the sea,
Can dance as baby does to me.
No silk was ever spun so fine
As is the hair of baby mine.
My baby smells more sweet to me
Than smells in spring the elder tree.
A little fish swims in the well,
So in my heart does baby dwell.
A little flower blows on the tree,
My baby is the flower to me.
The Queen has sceptre, crown and ball,
You are my sceptre, crown and all.
For all her robes of royal silk,
More fair your skin, as white as milk.
Ten thousand parks where deer do run,
Ten thousand roses in the sun,
Ten thousand pearls beneath the sea,
My babe more precious is to me.

Last Day of 2011
Just about 3 hours until midnight, 2012 is on the horizon. This year has gone so fast, my babies have grown up so fast.I wish time would slow down. Keely has gone out into the adult world or as much as she can be out in it, Caleb will start driving in less than a month, Christopher is beginning his second yr of school basketball, Kyan is reading and getting his own views on the world, and Kelcie is about to be 3 going on 33, and they all are needing mom just a little more each day. While on the most hectic of my hectic days I want them to do things for themselves I cry inside when they do things on their own that I have always done for them. I cannot wait to see how Keely grows in her new school with all of the amazing people she has teaching her new things and helping her experience all kinds of things we never knew were possible for her. Caleb will finish 10th grade, drive, build friendships and head into jr year with all of these new possibilities ahead of him. Christopher will continue to build his skills in basketball, have another great yr at track, finish middle school and go into high school. Kyan will be going into 2nd grade, his personality will continue to grow and shine and he will turn 7, just yesterday I was holding him in my arms and kissing his little soft baby cheeks. Kelcie will be starting school in about 2 yrs and as fast as time is going these days I am learning to take in everything she is learning and doing. Also trying to find ways to contain her diva-ness, which she is FULL of. My 5 babies are babies no more and this year, 2011, made that very clear. I hope you all have had a great year and have an even more amazing year to come!! With lots of love~ Christi

1 Year Un-Anniversary...
Most of the time it is a celebration for a 1 yr milestone, birthday or an important something to remember. I have nothing to celebrate because once again I let 364 days go by with out blogging. I really wish I had not because there are absolutely things I let go by with out capturing for my family and kids to be able to look back on. I have a new updated background and will do a general post. I think a post on each of the kids, 1 a day for the next 5 days are in order.
This year has gone SO fast, guess it is an life hazard of getting older, lol. Time flies, kids grow too fast and so many things happen. The kids are doing good in school and keep us very busy. Rob is busy at work as usual but luckily has not had to travel in a couple of months. We have been decorating for the holidays and getting ready for Christmas. We are having a Christmas party in a couple of wks and have alot to do for that. Hope everyone of you have been having good holidays so far. Until tomorrow, Much Love Christi

Baby it's cold outside!
Man, the snow has been falling ALL day long and we have had about 5 in. so far and it supposed to snow till sometime in the early morn. Rob and I went out and shoveled about 4 in. off the driveway earlier and it was quite a workout! I have the tree up and Kyan has done an amazing job decorating this yr. While I would like to take control and make it "perfect" I am letting go and leaving it just how my sweet baby boy did it:) My hubby refuses to hang lights up on the house, sooooo I will have to try and get some up somehow this weekend. I MUST have outdoor Christmas lights, makes me happy!! I have some gifts bought but need to get on the ball and finish up buying gifts. Only 5 more days and Keely will turn, (coughing, choking, crying) 18....good Lord where did the time go. So I have to get out and do some birthday shopping this weekend, just have to find that something special. She can be very hard to shop for. We got out and drove around looking at Christmas lights, there are several areas of town that go all out maybe I can get some pics next trip and share them. If you are reading this post I would like to ask for a favor. My good friend Jennifer's niece Tori was in a car accident almost 2 wks ago and she is in a coma, she is 17 and has a great family and they could all use some extra prayers. I would appreciate it:)
Much love....
Much love....

Happy Thanksgiving!
Finally.....Finally I am making time to write a new post. I cannot believe how much time has gone by since my last post and I CANNOT believe how fast this year has gone. The kids have grown so much that sometimes it is shocking. We have been so busy with Rob working out of town 1-2 wks a month, while he hates being away from home he likes the challenge of running 2 sites and helping out in Louisville with their site. It makes so much extra work for me but I think I have gotten into a good routine when he is gone and the boys have stepped up so much with helping. North Dakota makes it easy for kids to grow up faster, they allow them to work at 14 and even get a permit and drivers license. We think 14 is too young to drive so Caleb is working towards getting one sometime in the future but he did decide he wanted to get a job. He applied at a locally owned gro store called Dan's and he works about 20 hrs a week. He does everything from bagging gro, rounding up carts, cleaning and even cashiering. He works hard and we are very proud of him. He is in the 9th grade, Nd keeps 9th grade in middle school so he will be moving up to high school next yr. Keely will be graduating in May and we cannot believe it. We ordered her cap and gown last wk which made it more real. She will go on in the fall to the Adult Education Center which is still part of the school system just for adults 18-21 yrs old. will interesting to see what she learns from there, she has learned alot from this school. She has such great teachers, and very special aides, esp one named Dianne, she has a very special connection with Keely. She does Keely's hair each day in lots of pretty styles, she accompanies Keely to work and to some of her classes and she has even mastered Keely speak. Which isn't easy to do, you can tell how much Keely loves her. Christopher is in 7th gr and likes being in middle school, he wasn't happy last yr when he found out 6th gr was still in elementary. He has done well and is in choir as well. He has a show coming up Dec. 20th and we are excited to see him perform. He has gotten so tall it is crazy. He has made a lot of friends and made honor roll this past 9 wks. Kyan started kindergarten this yr and he LOVES it. He cried when he was sick, throwing up and fever, and we told him he couldn't go to school. He has alot of friends and has the nicest teacher. She has already taught him so much. He has been in school just 11 wks and is already reading! She also told me in his parent conference that he is the most polite, helpful, respectful child she has ever met. She even said other teachers comment on him being so polite. That made me so proud:) He is such a funny, sweet child. He also has such a good imagination and likes older women, not to mention any names Jennifer and Stephanie, lol. Kelcie, sweet Kelcie, man has she grown. Poor baby girl is still lacking in the hair dept, and only has 8 teeth, and still doesn't talk much but man has she grown. She is a handful, keeps us all on our toes. She has a temper like Keely and mocks alot of what Keely does. She is a daredevil like Caleb, climbs on everything and is strong. She is funny like Christopher, makes faces, rolls her tongue, and loves to laugh and is always smiling. She is loving like Kyan loves to give hugs and seems to have a good imagination when playing. And she is like her dad a white girl;) She is actually starting to be a daddy's girl and gets so excited when he comes home from work. It is really sweet. We are still loving living in Bismarck, the weather is absolutely a perk, even the snow, a girl can get used to this no humidity thing!!
Today is Thanksgiving as you can tell by the title of the post, I hope you all have had a wonderful day. I am so THANKFUL for my wonderful husband who doubles as a great daddy, my beautiful, brilliant children, my amazing family who is always supportive, my best friend Jennifer whose friendship I cherish and all of the things we are blessed enough to experience in this life. We get busy in our lives and sometimes forget to take a moment and focus on the important things or to pick up the phone and make a call or write an email but I hope you all remember how important you are to me. Things can change in the blink of an eye so we should always remember to show the ones we love how thankful we are for them not just on this day.

Just us girls
Well as of 7 a.m. this morning it is just me and the girls. The boys are in Boise with my family and Robert is in Ky for work. I have to say it is so quiet around here and I miss all 4 of my boys but it is nice to have some time with the girls. They girls miss the boys too, they love the attention and love from their brothers and daddy. As long as the weather stays storm and tornado free I will be good:). I will be happy when Friday gets here and Robert will get home, he has been gone so much the last 2 mos. He is doing really well with this company and I know they respect the work he is doing and thats why they are depending on him to get things turned around in Ky, but I miss him and will be glad when things are wrapped up. Maybe this week I have with the girls will allow me some time to get pics up on here and some more posts. Happy week all:)

Pitiful blogger
What a terrible blogger I am! I have 5 amazing kids that grow and change everyday. I started this blog as a way to capture those moments for Rob and I, each one of the kids and family and friends to share enjoy and have forever, yet I have really gotten behind and probably missed some little things I would have rather not forgotten. If only to myself I have to make a commitment to mark all of the once in a lifetime moments of my quickly growing babies. While I am always amazed at how fast they grow older and mature and develop these quirky, sometimes annoying, and distinctively unique personalities, it makes me incredibly sad that they are doing it too fast. I think being older and more aware of how fast time does go by watching Kelcie develop and change and learn new things everyday makes me wish I could have had that knowledge when all the kids were smaller to capture the tiny things that they did:( So while this is my first post in months I will work on my next post and some new slideshows and get them up asap. I have missed my blog!!!!!
